Partner Nick Stevens and Counsel Larry Cole successfully defended the board of an organization of local unions which imposed a trusteeship upon one of its member locals. The United States Department of Labor, Manhattan Office, conducted an investigation into the propriety of the trusteeship. After responding to months of ongoing inquiries and presenting evidence to the federal investigator, we were able to show the Department that our client acted within its authority and in the best interests of the local’s members, resulting in the Department closing its file without a hearing.
