December 2022 – Starr Gern has recently announced the promotion of two attorneys. The promotions, effective January 1, 2023, include one new partner, Ana Rita Ferreira and one new Of Counsel, Alona Magidova. “Both Ana Rita and Alona are wonderful assets for our firm. Ana Rita Ferreira has been with the firm since 2017. She concentrates her practice in the area of personal injury law. Ms. Ferreira’s practice includes representing clients who have suffered injuries in various types of personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip and fall accidents, construction site negligence, traumatic brain injuries and medical malpractice. She prides herself on excellent client relations and communication skills, which leads to thorough case review and presentation. Ms. Ferreira is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
Alona Magidova is a member of Starr Gern’s family law practice group, where she focuses her practice on all areas of matrimonial law and related matters including domestic violence. She has extensive experience advocating for her clients in all areas which impact divorcing parties and their families. Ms. Magidova is also a Court Approved Family Mediator for Economic Aspects of Family Law and sits as an Early Settlement Panelist in Essex and Union Counties. Fluent in Russian, Ms. Magidova takes on clients facing challenges in their personal lives involving complex equitable distribution, support and custody issues using her legal knowledge and cultural insight in settling cases and, if necessary, taking them to trial.
