Henry J. Cistrelli settled a worker’s compensation claim for $153,090 for a South Orange Firefighter Captain.

July, 2023

Our client, a 44-year-old Captain of the South Orange Fire Department, was forced to retire from his position following injuries sustained in a commercial property fire. This award was the result of significant orthopedic injuries, with authorized surgical repair for left shoulder rotator cuff damage, requiring two additional surgeries for developed adhesions. He also had disc protrusions in his lower back, which required two epidural injections.  Our client has a third-party negligence claim pending in the NJ Superior Court against the owner of the property, in which his total worker’s compensation lien, for permanency, medical and temporary disability recovery is more than $245,000.
