Ronald L. Davison and Barbara Drasheff recently settled a significant case on behalf of a distributor of electronic devices claiming that a competitor was selling products with counterfeit Underwriters Laboratories labels and which were non-compliant with UL standards. The case was brought under the Lanham Act, the New Jersey RICO Act, the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and common law unfair competition principles. The case was resolved after extensive litigation in U.S. District Court.
